Chicago Portage Days 2014

Chicago Portage Days presentations are designed to complement modules in "Swamp to City" our educational curricula on the early history of Chicago. Chicago Portage Days is primarily an educational event that will be presented free to school groups on Friday, October 10th. Registered classes will receive a free copy of our documentary DVD "Connecting Worlds, The Story of the Chicago Portage" prior to their visit to Chicago Portage Days.

Please Note:

•  It will take each group an hour and a half to complete the Portage Trail but you should plan on spending at least two hours in order to
unload, load and have time to view the displays and exhibits at the beginning and end of the Portage Trail.

•  Attendance is limited. Reservations are accepted and Start Times assigned on a “first come - first served” basis.

•  A confirmation notice with your assigned start time will be emailed to you to confirm your reservation. You will also receive an
information packet prior to the event.

•  Please plan on having 1 adult for each 8 to 12 students. Groups are limited to 30 people.

•  Your class must be ready to begin the event at its assigned time. Late arrivals will not be allowed to start until after all other pre-registered groups have begun.

•  Arrival and departure should be by BUS only. Parents, aides and chaperones must be on the bus.
